Iranian ‘Isolation’ to go on screen at film festival

Iranian feature ‘Isolation’ by Morteza-Ali Abbas-Mirzaei is to compete at the 18th KIDS FIRST in US.

Iranian feature ‘Isolation’ has been selected to take part at the main competition section of the 18th edition the KIDS FIRST! Film Festival in the US.

Directed by Morteza-Ali Abbas-Mirzaei, the movie narrates the story of a man who takes permission from the warden for a 72-hour leave after six years of imprisonment.

He is out in order to bury his wife and attend her burial ceremony, but his mind is occupied with something else.

Nominated for a Crystal Simorgh for Best Supporting Actor, the film was initially released at the 35th edition of the Fajr Film Festival.

The cast of ‘Isolation’ includes actors such as Jamshid Hashempour, Amir-Ali Danaeifar, Nader Fallah, Alireza Ostadi, Siamak Safari, Behnoush Bakhtiari, Andisheh Fouladvand, Shaqayeq Farahani and Mehran Rajabi.

The KIDS FIRST! Film Festival displays new and classic children's films, TV programs and DVDs from studios, independent producers and youth producers.

The 18th edition of the event is slated for December 31, 2017, to January 15, 2018, in Santa Fe, New Mexico, the US.
